I loved Come Tomorrow so DMB has the creative energy still but this album is not good. It is better live on a positive note Madman's Eyes witch sound reminiscent of Before These Crowded Streets (my fav album) is cool live....it reminds me of Last Stop Halloween Minarets in a very good way Dave is going to play Madman a lot because it WORKS live The Ocean and the Butterfly is also a nice tiny song as Dave would say....a mellow cooldown song reminds me of steady as we go and stolen away and you and me (reminds me of a lot of songs actually) - very pretty like singing from the windows Something to tell my Baby has amazing lyrics - a little too easy music but the words more than make up for it like he reading a lullaby for an infant in the middle of World War III TY for the compilation Brian we appreciate your work! The Beatles song would have worked really well on Come Tomorrow that album exudes sexuality but probably could not get the rights from Paul without paying out the ass After Everything gospel church music is great for Buddy Strong because unlike Butch Taylor a jack of all trades Buddy is a King of Soul and Church Everyday and Angels are great songs for him so now at least he has 1 more in After Everything I just noticed that the black n white visual behind the fingers on the left of the cover look exactly like the entire cover of Come Tomorrow....Dave likes that artistic design clearly (my sister loves Ferns most of all forager plants too) The Only Thing works well live that is gonna be a lot of fun - I bet Dave is playing this 1 constantly Both of my fav jazz rock live bands (DMB and Phish) both have new albums w songs on them called Monsters kinda cool coincidence or kismet and both are great songs I already heard the Covid Window song at Blossom 2021 postponed ....not a big fan of this album but it is growing on me a little bit Still an amazing live band ever since 1993 20 years later

Listening to this now as an over forty this is by a margin, not sure how much, his best work musically and lyrically. Hits just right. I liked as a younger man as well but just hits different now.

Why don't y'all just add this to your UA-cam queue? I just did. All of this is better than Stand Up. I wouldn't mind them doing a stripped down show/album that's not just Dave & Tim. If they already did, I missed it (relax, I surrendered my secret decoder ring). I am still mourning LeRoi. IMHO, they have never been the same. Dave is the head & Leroi was the heart. You can disagree if you like but I notice they had to hire 3 guys to attempt to occupy his seat.

Captain would be at its best with LWS vibe and melody and Busted Stuffs lyrics.
